This launch allows UberX, Uber Electric, and Uber Comfort users to be matched with a Wayve-powered vehicle at no additional cost, introducing autonomous mobility to a broad consumer base in the UK.

The service utilizes Wayve's proprietary AI Driver technology integrated into all-electric Ford Mustang Mach-E vehicles, equipped with comprehensive surround sensors. While the vehicles operate autonomously, a trained and licensed private hire driver is present to oversee each trip, ensuring safety during this initial phase of deployment. The in-vehicle experience, designed by Uber, offers interactive screens in multiple languages for riders.
