The company's "Descartes" system utilizes a 15-minute brain-wave test, processing data from a sensor-equipped cap worn by patients. This data is then analyzed by Hemispheric's sophisticated AI model, which has been trained on a massive dataset comprising 100,000 test subjects and approximately 250,000 hours of brain-activity data, incorporating 6 billion parameters. This robust training allows Descartes to identify and assess the severity of numerous conditions, including post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD), Parkinson's disease, ADHD, and early cognitive decline.

Unlike conventional diagnostic methods that often involve extensive interviews and questionnaires, Hemispheric's technology provides an objective, data-driven tool. Co-founder and CEO Dr. Hagai Lalazar, a computational neuroscientist, and CTO Gidi Littwin, who contributed to Apple's Face ID development, founded the company, which has already secured $52 million from venture investors.
